CarTalk's website is down, presumably from the traffic pummeling their servers right now, but I am very, very sad about this.
UPDATE: NPR has the story

Oh balls, well this is depressing. Listening to Car Talk was the best part of Saturday morning road trips growing up, my parents were far from gear heads but they were diehard Car Talk addicts for some reason and I remember being able to relate to the jokes and the knowledge on that show at a really early age. My mom even called in once while I was in college and proudly wore her featured call like a badge of honor for months, mentioning it to anyone who would listen. I really hope they continue to replay the series for years, it was damn close to a national treasure at this point.
